"A man by his sin may waste himself, which is to waste that which on earth is most like God. This is man's greatest tragedy, God's heaviest grief."

A few short excerpts from the twenty-eighth chapter of the book of Proverbs.

"Blessed is the one who fears the Lord always (vs. 14).
Whoever walks with integrity will be delivered (vs. 18).
A faithful man will abound with blessings (vs. 20).
The one who trusts in the Lord will be enriched (vs. 25)."

Keep It Simple!

I spent a good portion of the day reading for my Theology of Ephesians class.

The weird part was that a good part of the reading I was doing from Hoehner's Ephesians: An Exegetical Commentary was trying to explain and justify that Paul was the author of the epistle. Honestly, why is that even debated?! The book begins with, "Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus..." Paul OBVIOUSLY wrote the book.

I don't understand why people over-speculate and complicate the bible. That's why I like people like Pastor Chuck Smith—it's all about the simplistic gospel!

And...I never ever thought I'd be quoting this man in a blog, but as Leonard Knight (the man who built Salvation Mountain) always says, "Just keep it simple!"

Creeping at a Snail's Pace.

Ummmmm. 5 mph?? Really??

Yvonne and I went to Starbucks last night. When we drove back into UP, I realized they had changed the speed limit from 10 mph to 5 mph. RIDICULOUS.

You know how sloooooow 5 mph is?? Try driving it sometime. We tested it out. Not only was is slower than a snail pace, it was kinda creeperish. Can you imagine walking to your apartment at night only to hear the sound of a car creeping at a snail's pace behind you? Yeah, creepy.

I donno what they were thinking when they changed it. Frankly, I'm a little curious.

Rose Parade Floats.

January 3rd is nearly upon us. Tell me exactly how 2 days flew by so fast!

Today was lots of fun! I went with my mom and my cousin Hannah to go see the Rose Parade floats. Though I am completely worn out and my legs feel like they are going to fall off, I have to say that I really enjoyed the day!

Ironically, all my favorite pics were the ones I took with my iPhone, not my Nikon. Haha.

Here are a few! (Many more are on my facebook! Check them out!)
