Dear Drama,
Why do you insist on following me?!
You are no longer welcome in my life.
Please go away and never return.

With the utmost sincerity,
Liz

Redirection.

I am learning to trust God in His redirection.

I had my heart set on going to England for three months this summer. It seemed like God wanted me there. God had placed England on my heart and since the door was wide open, I took it as a sign that He wanted me to go. But as I have experienced before, God redirects when He sees me stepping off the track of His will for me.

I have a heart for England, but I have a burden for the Jr. High Ministry at my church. Going to England for three months would have kept me away from the Jr. High Ministry for three months. I would have even missed camp.

I don't know if I am overthinking the situation, or if this is really God's hand of redirection, but currently the details just aren't coming through for my three months in England. It seems like the door is closing. Fortunately, I can still go to Creationfest! That's my light at the end of the tunnel :)

So here's to the next six months of my life! God, do what You will!

Where have all the good ones gone?

It's a rare occurrence for a guy to hold a door open for a girl these days.

Where have all the good guys gone? Guys, you can't even fathom how much girls appreciate something so seemingly minor.

Girls have learned to judge the type of guy based on the way he holds a door open for a girl (or the way he doesn't). I have come up with a scale. This IS collaborative, so you are getting multiple girls' opinions here, not just mine.

From bad to good:
1. Guy walks through a doorway that a girl opened for herself without saying anything.
2. Guy walks through a doorway that a girl opened for herself and says, "Thank you."
3. Guy walks up behind a girl opening a door and walks through behind her.
4. As a girl approaches a door already being opened by a guy, the guy lets her go through before him.
5. Guy and girl arrive at the doorway at about the same time and guy lets her go through first saying something along the lines of, "Go ahead."
6. Guy walks back to a doorway he has already walked through in order to hold a door open for a girl coming behind him.
7. Guy rushes to the doorway to open the door for the girl before she even gets there or stays there for a long time letting multiple girls walk through. (Ideal, but extremely rare.)

Guys, be at #4 at the minimum. C'mon, step it up!

LETHAL Conversation!

Today was the best day EVER. Why, might you ask? Well, I had the best skype session in the history of skype. Actually, in the history of the internet! It all started with me and Becca video chatting. Two people, two countries. But after noticing Mark and Andy were online too, we couldn't pass up the opportunity. Four people, four countries. We told them to go on skype and that began our LETHAL conversation. (Fyi, "lethal" is the word irish people use instead of saying "epic." I learned that today.) Haha it was SO lethal that we all ended up posting something about it in our statuses.

Notice Mark's (circled in red on the top right of the picture). That one has a funny story...Sometime in the middle of the conversation, we ended up on google maps looking at each other's houses. Super exciting, I know. Well, as Mark was looking at mine, he decided to walk down the street. He came across a truck that belonged to a company that did repairs and had a towing service for forklifts. He wanted me to call them, but we came up with a better idea. I called the number from my phone (blocking my number, of course), put it on speakerphone, and held it up to my computer's microphone and let Mark leave a message. It was EPIC. He made up a name and said that something happened to his forklift in Ireland and that he needed a 1967 left wheel and asked them to call him back. HAHAHAHAHA.

Anyways, it was MARVELOUS. Any one conversation that takes place in America, England, Wales, and Ireland is nothing less.

I greatly enjoyed my three and a half hour conversation with Becca, Mark, and Andy.

Aaaaaaand, I just have to say that I feel super special. This conversation ended at about 3 a.m. their time. Thanks for staying up for me, friends! You're the best! :)

Free Wallpaper From Me!

I am suffering from a very bad case of senioritis today. I can't seem to do homework for more than 10 minutes at a time.

So, I found myself making pretty desktop wallpapers. Aaaaand, I thought I'd actually share this time.

So if you want to download it, just go to this link: http://files.me.com/elizabeth.mousa/s75t22. And type "fromliz" in the password box. No spaces, no quotation marks. Enjoy!

Keep in mind, the dimensions are 1440 x 900 so the best fit will be on a MacBook Pro!

Compartmentalization.

I have written about this before. It's just a 20 letter word. It's just the way I live my life.

Ehh. God's teaching me something new about this one.

Often times, "one with Christ" refers to multiple people. Groups of people being one with Christ. Churches becoming one with Christ. Bodies of believers becoming one with Christ. But I am learning that I need to becoming one with Christ. Me, myself, and I.

"And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed Him." -Luke 5:11

Everything. Not just certain compartments of their lives.

EVERYTHING.

Lord, please fill EVERY compartment of my life. Help me to become one with You.

Shoutout!
