Some people are open, some people are not. And can I just say, it is extreeeeemely difficult for me to hold things in!

K. That's all. Just had to let SOMETHING out.

I bet you all are dying of curiosity now!

Power-Picking!

Most people go to the orange groves to pick oranges...

Yvonne and I, we dare to be different.

We were driving back from Alicia's bridal shower and we were driving through the woods (hahaha, Michelle). We pass by all these orange trees that are very tempting. So I stop my car right in the middle of the street and Yvonne dashes out! You should have seen her! She was power-picking!!

Here's a shot of her in action!

It was pretty intense! Then all of a sudden, I see a car in my rear-view mirror. It's still a distance back, but I started to get nervous. Luckily, Yvonne noticed too and she dashed back.

We came back with two handfuls of freshly picked oranges. Mmm Mmm!

My printer doesn't like long papers.

My printer is bipolar.

First of all, it's strange. It prints backwards, starting with the last page and ending with the first. I started printing my long exegetical paper...it printed pages 13 to 5...and then it got stuck. poop!

it kept printing weird looking pages as if the ink was out. but i was way too lazy to go to the library.

i went to the kitchen for our stocking decorating party. i was there for like an hour. apparently, a miracle bug landed on my printer within that hour.

i came back to my room and attempted printing once more. and it worked! YAY! and it even let me print the other random things i had to attach to my paper! yay for 17-page papers! lol.

i guess my printer just doesn't like long papers.

Facebook Stranger.

He requested me on facebook. I didn't recognize his picture. But we had fifteen mutual friends from my church so I figured there'd be no harm in adding him.

All of a sudden, he sent me an IM on facebook chat asking me if I knew this one guy from cbu...which I didn't. Then he starts chatting. He goes to a couple of services at my church that I go to so I guess I have probably seen him before.

I don't know why this guy keeps talking to me.

All of a sudden, he says, "You know what the enemy uses the most to get us away from God? Especially when ur single."

Awkward. I don't know you. Why are you asking me this?

He goes on to say, "Well for my single friends and I ...i noticed that we talk about our future wives all the time. and for the past 2 weeks now that verse mathew 6:33 has been very true. All we need is to seek the Lord."

Hmm, ok. Maybe God is trying to tell me something through a stranger. Maybe? Umm, still a little awkward though.

He keeps talking. I don't know why I just didn't sign off. I probably should have.

More chatting. Small talk.

All of a sudden...THE question...."Hey when you come back from break you wanna get a cup of coffee sometime?"

Oh dear. A stranger just asked me to coffee. Awkward.

Somehow, I blow off the question. More small talk. Finally, I tell him I need to get going because I have to get to class. It's one of those long, repetitive goodbyes. He tells me to say hi to him if I ever see him at church. I have to be the one to say hi because he claims, "I am bad with faces..."

But it was the rest of that sentence that added more awkwardness to the already awkward situation.

"...maybe not with u."

Ahh! This facebook stranger who wants to go to coffee with me is gonna remember my face even though he is bad with faces! Awkward!!!

If Humans Hibernated.

Happy December!

Today's December 2nd and is finally starting to get cold! It was freezing this morning and the fog was craaaazy! But it was a nice way to welcome in the season (finally!)

Winter leaves one question in my mind. What would life be like if humans hibernated? Sometimes, I just wanna escape. Not from problems or stress necessarily, but from everything! Wouldn't it be great if we could just take a two year nap?! Clocking in and out of reality...ahh that'd be amazing!

Black Friday

Black Friday was yesterday.

And let me tell you, this day is waaaaay over-commercialized! My mom and I went to the mall and came out with ONE bag! Sales weren't even that wonderful at all! Granted, there were SOME stores that had pretty rockin sales, but by the afternoon, all those marvelous sale items were gone. Half the stores hike up prices more than usual just to make it a larger percent off.

What do I think?
SCAM.

(did that just for you Yvette! lol.)

Everyone should watch this...

Thank You, Lord.

As Thanksgiving is approaching (actually, it's already here!) this song comes to mind...

"Came to My Rescue" by Hillsong

Falling on my knees in worship
Giving all I am to seek Your face
Lord all I am is is Yours

My whole life
I place in Your hands
God of mercy
Humbled I bow down
In your presence at Your throne

I called You answered
And You came to my rescue and I
I wanna be where You are

In my life be lifted high
In our world be lifted high
In our love be lifted high

This is something I know I don't think about enough. Many times, us Christians who live in the United States take God for granted. We don't have very many real problems here so we don't know what it means to be truly rescued by God. But when you really think about it, we don't deserve His amazing goodness. We don't deserve the many blessings He showers upon us. And we don't deserve heaven.

Thank You, Lord for saving my soul. Thank You, Lord for making me whole. Thank You, Lord for giving to me. Thy great salvation so rich and free!

Cool Water Bottles

I really wanted a cool water bottle. I don't know why. It's a problem I have. Random gadgets and accessories. But I promised myself that if I got a cool water bottle, I would use it. Bought it from Target. Way cheaper than the one I almost bought from Amazon. and this one is even better! Cuz you can open this one with one finger. That's right! One FINGER. Pretty much coolest water bottle out there!

P.S. For all you go green fanatics, it IS bpa free =]

Street Buy

Driving Yvonne to the airport, we passed by a street buy. That's what the sign said anyway. I wonder what they sell there! Hahahaha!

(We recreated the sign since we weren't quick enough to take a pic of it while we were on the road. This is exactly what it looked like!)

Meet my cute, little friends.
